Foundations of Tribal Bellydance for Absolute Beginners
Come and learn the basics of Tribal Bellydance! In this 8 week term you will learn to dance by drilling the basics in fun combinations. Using both slow movements and fast steps you’ll be dancing in your first class! There is plenty of review built into the class structure and they're are accessible to women with no prior dance experience.
In this series of classes, attention will be given to exploring concepts of movement, as well as clear breakdown of technique and understanding of body mechanics that prevent injury and improve dance form. These classes are upbeat, super fun and a great form of exercise – you are guaranteed to sweat!
American Tribal Style® Bellydance is both earthy and artistic, blending the movements of the Middle East and India with the sinuous elegance of contemporary dance forms. The posture is open and uplifted, grounded with strong arms, graceful movements and body alignment.
Though it is a modern day dance the feeling is ancient and sacred; with vibrant costuming, music, movements and a strong connection between the dancers. We'll learn to dance as a tribe with this exciting and organic dance style where no two performances are ever the same!
Thursdays 6:30pm - 7:30pm: Absolute beginners (no dance experience required)
Located just south of the city at 19 Burke Street Woolloongabba. Just off Ipswich Road (near Officeworks), only 2 minutes away from Park Road train station. The studio is fully airconditioned and spacious with quality flooring and mirrors. Full amenities include a bathroom/change area, kitchen/common area and vending machines.
Student performance opportunities and costume workshops are available throughout the year.
